Privacy Policy

Last updated 30 April 2026

This policy explains how Cameron Nicholls (“I”, “me”) handles your personal information. It’s written in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 12 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. Open and Transparent Management

I’m committed to handling your personal information honestly and transparently. This policy explains what I collect, why, and what I do with it. If you have questions, just ask.

2. Anonymity

Where possible, you can interact with me anonymously — for example, browsing my website. If you make an enquiry or engage me for work, I’ll need to know who you are to do the job properly.

3. Collection of Personal Information

I collect personal information only when it’s necessary. This may include your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any other details you choose to share when contacting me or working with me on a project.

I collect this information directly from you — through contact forms, email, phone, or in the course of a project.

4. Unsolicited Information

If I receive personal information I didn’t ask for and don’t need, I’ll destroy or de-identify it as soon as reasonably practicable.

5. Notification of Collection

When I collect your personal information, I’ll make it clear what I’m collecting and why. I won’t use your information for a purpose you wouldn’t reasonably expect.

6. Use and Disclosure

I use your personal information to:

  • Respond to enquiries and communicate about projects
  • Prepare quotes, invoices, and agreements
  • Deliver the services you’ve engaged me for
  • Meet any legal or regulatory obligations

I don’t sell, rent, or trade your personal information. I won’t share it with third parties except where necessary to deliver your project (e.g. a developer or print supplier), or where required by law.

7. Direct Marketing

I don’t send marketing emails or newsletters. If that changes, I’ll ask for your consent first and make it easy to opt out.

8. Cross-Border Disclosure

Some tools I use — project management, file storage, communication platforms — may store data on servers outside Australia. I take reasonable steps to ensure those providers handle your data in accordance with Australian privacy standards.

9. Quality of Information

I take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information I hold is accurate, up to date, and complete. If something’s wrong, let me know and I’ll fix it.

10. Security

I store personal information securely and take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. When information is no longer needed, I’ll destroy or de-identify it.

11. Access and Correction

You have the right to access the personal information I hold about you, and to ask me to correct anything that’s inaccurate. To make a request, email cam@cameronnicholls.com.au. I’ll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

12. Complaints

If you have a concern about how I’ve handled your personal information, contact me directly and I’ll work to resolve it. If you’re not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
