The thing you’ve been putting off

There’s something you’ve been meaning to sort out for a year.

Maybe the work keeps coming but you couldn’t tell me where the next job is coming from, so every quiet fortnight feels like the beginning of the end. Maybe you know you’re charging too little, you’ve known it for a while, and you still can’t bring yourself to say a bigger number out loud. Maybe there’s someone you should have let go six months ago, or a job you should have hired for and keep doing yourself at eleven at night.

You already know roughly what it is. What you don’t have is a morning set aside, someone to argue it out with, and a reason to actually land on an answer.

Whatever you land on, it usually comes out as a brand problem, a website problem, or a question about what AI actually changes for you. That’s the part I build.

How it goes

You come in for three hours. We put your business on the wall: where it started, what changed, the good years and the bad ones. We talk about the number the business needs to make and what you’d have to charge to get there. We look at your best three clients and what they have in common.

Then I tell you what I’d change. One thing, said plainly. You pick the date it happens by and the first task, and we book the follow-up call before you leave.

You go home with photographs of the wall. That’s it. No deck, no report.

Then I build it

This is the part that matters. Consultants make a recommendation and leave. Designers build whatever they’re told. I do both, which means I can’t recommend something clever and disappear — the advice has to survive contact with the actual work.

If what you decide is a new identity, a new site, or an automation that takes work off your desk, I quote it separately and I build it.

Who it’s for

Small businesses willing to pay to think. Any industry. If what you want is a quote for a WordPress site or a mockup to look at, this isn’t it, and I’d rather say so now.

$600. Three hours. You leave with a decision and a date.

Questions, answered.

What does it cost?
$600, three hours. You leave with a decision and a date. If we build after that, it's quoted separately.
Does the $600 come off the build?
No. It's a separate thing that stands on its own. If it were a discount on the build it would turn into a sales meeting, and it isn't one.
How do I pay?
Pick a time and I'll send an invoice that day. It's paid before the morning, not after. That's not me being careful about money, it's the thing that makes the morning work.
What if I don't know which problem to bring?
Bring the one you've complained about most this year. That's usually the one.
Do I get a document afterwards?
You get photographs of the wall, in your own handwriting, the same afternoon. No deck, no summary PDF. The decision is the deliverable.
Can we do it remotely?
It runs in person in Adelaide. The room is doing a lot of the work, and it doesn't travel down a video call.
What if we decide to build something?
Then I build it. That's the point of doing this with me rather than with a consultant. My advice has to survive contact with the actual work, because I'm the one doing the work.
